About Us

The Mussar Institute is incorporated in Canada in the province of British Columbia and is registered federally as non-profit organization in Canada. The Mussar Institute - USA is incorporated in the state of Oregon and is registered as a 501(c)3 with IRS in the United States.

Our mission statement is:

“The Mussar Institute imparts wisdom and tools for character development grounded in Torah and the classical Mussar tradition, enabling all Jews to elevate their souls--and through them, those of all humankind--to holiness. Spiritual growth is supported through the development of community and through individual Mussar learning and practice applied to everyday life.”
